CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Classes vs. Practices

During classes, students receive instruction. During practices, it’s assumed that the student already knows the form, and there is little to no instruction.

Baduanjin Qigong and Meditation Practice

This practice is suitable for students who don’t need prompting. The instructor’s back will be to the camera for the Baduanjin Qigong portion, and there will be no verbal cues. Example can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WCBDwwtT1E

The practice will consist of a quick warm up, practice of Baduanjin followed by meditation.

Those pressed for time are welcome to leave during the pause between Baduanjin and meditation.

Baduanjin Mini Practice

The instructor faces the camera and practices the form mirror image to the students. There are no verbal cues. This is the warm up for the Tai Chi for Arthritis class, however, everyone is welcome.

Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention

Based on the Sun style of tai chi, this program was designed by Dr. Paul Lam to benefit those with Arthritis. Numerous medical studies have proven its effectiveness at helping Arthritis (both osteo and rheumatoid) as well as fibromyalgia symptoms with the side benefit of fall prevention.

Tai Chi for Arthritis I&II Practice (Intermediate)

Practice of Tai Chi for Arthritis Parts I and II three times in a row.

Yang Family Section I Class (Beginner)

The original Yang style Tai Chi as taught by Grandmaster Yang Jun, sixth generation lineage holder of the Yang Family. This class will cover the first of three sections.

Yang Family Section I Guided Practice

This practice is to support those taking the Yang Family Section I class.
